SUMMARY:  At the May 3, 2004 meeting, the Board approved an appeal that involved monetarily reimbursing the applicant for connection charges that had been paid for fixtures the District no longer recognizes for credit.  In the Becom/Aberg Appeal, the applicant had recently paid for a water permit that included connection charges.  As part of the recent water permit application, the applicant removed the fixtures that had previously been paid for, but that are no longer available for credit.  The applicant appealed to the Board asserting that they should have been credited for previously paid connection charges.  The Board granted their request.

As a result of the Board’s granting the Becom/Aberg Appeal, staff will credit previously paid connection charges to water permits for the same site when the applicant is also removing the water fixtures that are no longer available for credit.

RECOMMENDATION:  No action is necessary.  This item is provided for informational purposes only.  This practice will be included in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
